A Better Board Governance
Commentary

Boardroom Behavior Should Be Guided by Vision Not Strategy

There appears to be a never ending supply of business consultants, strategists if you will, telling companies they must have a strategic plan in order to differentiate where they are going as opposed to how they will get there. “Doing the right thing” as opposed to “doing things right.”

While there can be no doubt that every company needs a strategic plan, the whole concept of strategy needs to be reviewed and set “right” if members of boards of directors are to fulfill their responsibilities as leaders.
